7/31/2023 0 Comments Total conquest forum![]() Rome was not built in a day, and nor will your new Empire! TC has increased costs and build times for buildings, meaning you'll have to think carefully about what choices you make. Total Conquest has completely custom scripts allowing us to depict things like Roman Civil War, Senate system, Garrison spawning, Recent Conquest penalties, Civilisation Mechanic, Area of Recruitment system and many others.Īs time goes on, new mechanics will be added, and existing ones improved. On top of that, completely new mechanics had been built, utilising expanded scripting functionality Feral has built into the latest patch. The mod makes use of various features from the game's original expansions. In addition, some factions can only appear if specific conditions had been met. Sadly, we didn't have the time to do everything. Others will be made playable as time goes on and their roasters are fleshed out! At the moment, many are copies of existing factions, but we want to provide a unique experience to many of these. In addition to vanilla factions, there are nine new playable factions. Spartans, Athenians, Ptolemaic Kingdom, Brennus' Horde and various others have joined the fray. Total Conquest features 51 factions on its campaign map. TC utilises the engine's various new features: from lifted faction limits, through combined gameplay features of Rome's original expansions, to heavily scripted events. ![]() Experience Rome Total War like never before: with brand new mechanics, factions and features which Total War games had not seen in the past. Most players hate conquest, this is my opinion why they hate conquest, and I don't think there is really anything to be done but savor the conquest matches we get.We are back and better than ever! After a long delay, Total Conquest returns with a vengeance. Players wanted more game modes, but they wanted them to be like 'Skirmish', and so Dominion, which is skirmish with 'keep people out of the circle' attached. So PGI created a new game mode by taking away the bases (skirmish). They hated assault too, but particularly the bases. Conquest takes the same maps, but the play that yields consistent wins is typically very different.īack in the old days there were only assault and Conquest. ![]() ![]() Whenever you see a team win assault by standing in the box, or Domination by keeping the other team out of the circle, you see much the same reaction (from both the enemy team as well as most of those on your own team) as Conquest gets from the start.Īssault/Domination/Skirmish play out the same way (especially on Terra Therma and Apline peaks before AP's dom zone and skirmish spawns got moved). It means at least a couple of mechs spend some time doing stuff other than shooting at the enemy mechs and where they won't be around to take their fair share amount of damage (this is, by the way, one of the reasons why LRM-centric maps are also widely loathed). It requires a team act like, Kerensky (or Blake if you swing that way) forbid, you act like a team. Assault-kill other mechs, possibly stand in other team's box.Ĭonquest requires effort. Domination-kill other mechs while standing in a circle. Yes, everyone (or at least a large majority of everyone) hates conquest. ![]() Does everyone hate conquest or something? Why? ![]()
